About De Hoogstraat Rehabillitation
De Hoogstraat Revalidatie is a medical specialistic rehabilitation for children as well as adults. De Hoogstraat Rehabilitation is well known in the Netherlands for its successful integration of patientcare, innovative projects and research and development by scientific research. With more than 75 years of experience, they offer intensive treatment, advice and tailored technical adaptations so that children and adults undergoing rehabilitation learn to cope with their disabilities so that they can participate in society to the best of their ability.
Unique floor deck specially for rehabilitation and therapy
The question was raised by De Hoogstraat Rehabilitation whether it was possible to develop a movable floor deck on which the rehabilitants experience a minimal level of stimuli when moving around in the pool. After all, the target group they work with is vulnerable and a safe and responsible rehabilitation process is paramount. Thanks to the strong ties between De Hoogstraat Rehabilitation and Tieleman, it was possible to enter into a process in which various samples were developed and assessed. In the end, the PVC tile with a special rounded profile emerged as the best in the test. The PVC tile is also provided with various openings that ensure optimal water circulation. This shows once again how versatile Tieleman can be.
A huge succes which will soon be continued
Of course, developing a new floor deck brings its own challenges. Fortunately, there was close contact between De Hoogstraat Rehabilitation and the experts from Tieleman throughout the project. And the result is impressive.
“Besides looking magnificent, the new pool floor provides a stable surface which provides trust for the rehabilitant to exercise safely and comfortably. In addition, together with the supplier, we have also made great successes in terms of sustainability and maintenance which can be carried out more easily. Also everyone within Tieleman is pleased with the outcome of this project. The unique floor deck has proved to be a great success and can now be offered to various medical institutions and public pools.
